The Namesake
This was fabulous last night. I spent most of the film in tears. That's very unlike me. I recommend this one, too. It gives you an insight into Bengali culture and religious practices, how some survived in the U.S., and ends in tragedy and hope.
The Overcoat
This was mentioned in last night's film. Of all of Gogol's works I have, The Overcoat wasn't one of them. It took me a few minutes to find, but it was only $0.99 on Kobo, so I bought it. One doesn't understand Russia or even much of the world until one reads Gogol.
